Honda unveiled the Rebel 500 for India on 24 July 2026, and pricing signals have since started to appear. They point higher than many expected — this looks like a premium bike, not a value one. Here’s the picture (still unofficial).
The numbers so far: roughly ₹4.7–5.5 lakh (ex-showroom)
- Leaked listing: a Honda BigWing Bengaluru page reportedly showed ₹5.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for the standard Rebel 500.
- Estimate: Autocar India pegs it closer to ₹4.7 lakh.

Why it’s this expensive
Reports say the Rebel 500 launches with only ~50% localisation initially (local engine manufacturing is planned for later). Less local content means more cost, which keeps the price up. It’s still cheaper than the old imported Rebel 500 (~₹6.26 lakh), but not the value-play some hoped for.
The problem: the Royal Enfield 650s undercut it
